AYLAK - A PLOVDIV STATE OF MIND (Bulgaria's Oldest City!)

Our second stop on this epic road trip was Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria and the entire town has a seemless integration with it's ancient passed.

There are Roman ruins (Ancient Stadium of Philipopolis) right in the middle of the pedestrian street (Knyaz Aleksandar I) as well as one of the best preserved roman theatres in the world sitting a few hundred meters away! (Ancient Theatre of Philippopolis) we got to see both while attempting to live a traditional Plovdiv life and embracing 'Aylyak' we really had no idea there would be Roman ruins in Plovdiv!

Unfortauntely we were both not feeling well and couldn't stay out in the cityas long as we would have liked so i'm sure we missed a bunch!
