FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF ISTANBUL, TÜRKIYE

YOU NEED TO COME TO TURKEY!! We arrived by train into Türkiye yesterday and were amazed to realise we had timed it up perfectly to be able to experience Turkey republic day in Istanbul. There were already an incredible amount of Turkish flags in the streets but when we woke up the next day you couldn't open your eyes anywhere in Istanbul without seeing the iconic Turkish flag! We had so much fun running around this MASSIVE city and know that we just didn't do it justice.

You could easily spend so much more time here but we loved the time we did have by trying simit, eating Pide for the first time, exploring the blue mosque and checking out the Grand bazaar at the PERFECT moment! We also had a beautiful walk along the Galata bridge!
