Our weekly travel newsletter is back! Here is an old one we sent before we left for the US!

These past weeks have been a family and friend filled blur! For some reason I was convinced that this time home we would get so much done and wouldn't be that busy but no, most days have been filled with catch ups, planning or editing! No complaints here though because we have a few wins on the board that I am choosing to celebrate: 1. some free accom lined up in USA (thanks to trusted housesitters!) This is probably our biggest win because accomodation expensive in the states! 2. all currently filmed videos are edited and uploaded! (this sounds much more impressive than it is as it is only this weeks video) 3. plans to go to Canada and do a roadtrip from Vancouver! This win in FRESH but we are super excited to get to explore Canada, I have only ever been to Toronto and Jordan's never been. It looks right up our alley and we may even try out van life
next week
TOMORROW we leave for the States and I still haven't finished packing. So today I will no doubt be in a chaotic state running around trying to make sure I have everything ready for our 5am wake up call! Our 'travel day' video we are going to talk about how much money YouTube has paid us now we have been on the platform for an entire YEAR!! 😳 Honestly, feels like a lifetime but also like a week somehow? Then we are thinking it would be fun to do a 'AI planned the perfect day in Portland' video! We haven't really shared our ideas for videos before so if you think these stink or have any other creative idaes let us know! videos Seeing as I blanked on sending emails out while we have been home (I blame being overwhelemed by packing, planning and baby cuddles!) we have posted four videos since our last newsletter. One where we got to see real life Komodo Dragons 🤯 another was from a very 'cup is full' kind of day we had in Ruteng, Indonesia! Then a video about visiting Mount Kelimutu and OMG do I love the video. We had such a great day at Kelimutu and the video is easily one of my recent favourites! For those who don't know the Kelimutu Volcano (which is still active btw) had three vibrant crater lakes THAT CHANGE COLOUR! Finally one where we actually got to enjoy a holiday for once!

extra video? - We posted two videos the other week and in brutal honesty it's becuase we don't think of our most recent ones as our 'strongest'. Our number #1 reason to have these videos is for our memories, so that means even if we don't tell a good story or edit a great video we still want to make a vlog to remember that day and what we got up to! instagram/TikTok - Now comes the part of the newletter where I say I want to get better at posting here next week. Let's see if this is the week it sticks. we spent money - Literally TODAY Jordan spent way more than we should have on a drone! Honestly have zero recommendations for this week. It has been one of those whirlwind weeks where you feel like you are busy the whole time but nothing gets done!
