Yesterday we hiked to some of the best temples in Chiang Mai (We LOVED Wat Umong) so today we rested and caught up on some life admin tasks. - CHIANG RAI TRAVEL GUIDE - BEST THINGS TO SEE
Fresh from our first class overnight bus from Bangkok, we spent our first full day in Northern Thailand exploring the must see sights of Chiang Rai. Chiang Rai is the little brother of Chiang Mai (About 3 hours away by bus) so many travellers miss it. We think it needs to be added to every destination list - especially if you are exploring Thailand anyway! In this Video we explore the Big Buddha (Not actually a Buddha but a temple dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy - Wat Huay Pla Kang) the severely UNDERRATED Blue Temple which we LOVED and the most famous and top of most peoples Must See list - The White Temple. - FIRST CLASS BANGKOK TO CHIANG RAI OVERNIGHT BUS
In this video we pack up our things and leave the Dang Derm Hotel on Khao San Road and head to the local bus station to catch the Bangkok to Chiang Rai overnight Bus We decided to take our chances and book our Bangkok to Chiang Rai bus at the station rather than using 12GO asia and booking online. Leaving us with only the FIRST CLASS option. I guess it was a Bangkok to Chiang rai overnight bus so we werent too bothered! Luckily we found a bus leaving the same night and it was supposed to be a really comfortable one. Unluckily, it wasn't as comfortable as we thought it was. 😬 Watch full video here: #overnightbus #thailandbus #bangkoktochiangrai #bangkok #chiangrai

- STITCHES IN A THAILAND HOSPITAL
Instead or exploring the beaches and waterfalls on the second biggest island in Thailand we spent our Koh Samui days in our hotel recovering from our Scooter accident. We rode in an Ambulance, got some stitches and needed to have our bandages changed at the hospital daily. This is a cautionary tale of what NOT to do in #KohSamui. We made a bad decision and will live with the consequences. We are very lucky this wasn't worse for us (or anyone else) and are extremely grateful to all involved for their help! Lesson learnt!
